THE WINE CELLAR

Sardinia is known for its rich wine culture, which has been a part of the region’s history since the Nuragic period and possibly even earlier. Recent archaeobotanical and archaeological studies discoveries support the idea that winemaking was already present during that era. Sardinia played an important role in the domestication of wild vines, and to showcase the many winemaking excellences of the region, a cellar was established in 2023. The cellar uses a passive wine conservation system that preserves the unique characteristics of each grape over time. The design of the cellar allows for tastings of the most characteristic Sardinian native vines, including Carignano, Bovale, Sardinian Barbera, Nasco, Cannonau, Malvasia, Vernaccia, and Monica, which are the result of the skillful work of Sardinian winemakers who have selected the most suitable grapes for different cultivation environments. The cellar is also designed with eco-sustainability in mind.
